“The usual way” describes how business-intelligence tools commonly work; individual products differ. Savings and speeds may differ for some customers.

What counts as a row?
A row is one record in a data mart: one order, one shipment, one day of readings. Your limit is the total held across all your data marts at any one time, so replacing old data with new does not use up more.
What is a data mart refresh?
A refresh pulls the latest data from your sources into a data mart. Your plan sets how many times a day that can happen: once on Free, every two hours on Standard, every hour on Pro, and every hour or more often on Enterprise.
What is an Ai token, and what happens if we run out?
Tokens measure the work Knosys Ai does: roughly, the words it reads and writes when you ask for a graph, a formula or an alert. A simple request uses few; building a data mart uses more. Your allowance resets every month.
If you use it up, everything you have built keeps running, because graphs, dashboards, alerts and scheduled stories do not use tokens. New Ai requests wait for the reset, or you can move up a plan.
Who counts as a user?
Anyone with their own sign-in, whether they build graphs or only read the stories shared with them. There are no separate creator and viewer licences to work out.
Is the Free plan really free?
Yes, for three months, and it needs no card: one user, 100,000 rows, one refresh a day and enough Ai tokens to try Knosys on your own data.
After that your account is frozen: you are asked to upgrade, and until you do you cannot open your data or use anything in Knosys. Nothing is deleted: your data is kept for at least a year, so you can upgrade whenever you like.
Can we change plans, or pay monthly?
Yes to both. Move up at any time and the new limits apply straight away; move down at the end of a billing period. Annual billing is paid once a year and works out about 20% lower per month. Monthly billing costs a little more and can be cancelled at any time.
What happens if we go over a limit?
You are told before you get there. Nothing is deleted and nothing is charged automatically. You choose whether to trim back or move up a plan.
How does Enterprise pricing work?
It starts at $399 a month, billed annually, and is shaped around you from there. Users, rows, refresh frequency, the Ai token pool and support are each set to fit, and you pay for what you need rather than for the next tier up. Book a demo and we will put numbers on it.
